Dr. Mackenzie Hellert
Dr. Hellert grew up on the family farm in Dubuque, Iowa and graduated from Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. Dr. Hellert is licensed in 9 states and has extensive experience in soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, ER, and general practice. She and her husband, Brett, live on the family farm catering to 2 very spoiled dogs: Martin and Thaddeus and some equally spoiled horses.
In her spare time Dr. Hellert enjoys helping her family with their flock of Jacob sheep, llamas, chickens, and Giant Flemish rabbit named Adeli. Dr. Hellert also loves gardening, riding and driving her horses, and traveling. She has worked and played from Alaska to Arizona and Florida and a bunch of places in-between!
